Miso Soup:
An Easy Low Fat Japanese Recipe

Miso Soup is one of my favorite Japanese dishes. I normally eat it with Chicken Teriyaki and steamed rice.

Believe it or not, This delicious Japanese soup is not very difficult to prepare. It takes only a few minutes. You'll need the rest of your time to prepare other delicious Japanese dishes.

This is also an excellent snack on its own too. Quick and easy... Japanese (I could not help myself!). ;-)



Nutritional Information:

Serves 4

Fat: 4.5 g

Cal: 140

KJ: 580

WW: 2.5 Points





Ingredients:

2 Tbsp white miso paste

1 tsp dashi granules

4 cups of water (1 lt or 32 oz)

200 g (6.5 oz) Udon noodles

2 spring onions (scallions).

200 g (6.5 oz or 2 fl oz) soft tofu.

This is what you do:

First, slice the spring onions, and dice the tofu.

Then put the miso and dashi in a pot and stir till the miso disolves.

Next, cook the soup over medium heat till hot, but do not let it boil.

After that, add the noodles to the pot and continue cooking till just before boiling.

That's that! Sprinkle the spring onions on each serve, and place a few tofu cubes.

That's it!

By the way, Miso Soup follows the Great Taste No Pain Eating Principles . That is if you eat it alone or with rice! Just don't add chicken.
