Low Fat Lunch Recipe #4: Lean Burgers
Do you feel like having a burger for lunch? Why not?
This delicious low fat lunch recipe shows you how to make 6 tasty lean hamburgers! (as they are only 3 points each, and depending on your fat budged for the day, you can even have 2 burgers for lunch... but don't overdo it, ok?)
Now, these burgers do not include bread. If you are on a low carb regime, they're perfect for you.
But if you want to have some sort of bread with them, you may as well try some foccacia bread, toasted. Yum!
To add "delicious-ness" to this low fat lunch recipe, I suggest you mix two table spoons of low fat mayo with half a tea spoon of crushed garlic, and spread the mix evenly over the 6 burgers.
Of course, you can double up the amount of ingredients if you want 12 burgers for a nice BBQ.

Ingredients:
450 g lean minced beef
1 onion
1 green or red capsicum (pepper)
1 tsp crushed garlic
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp tomato puree
2 Tbsp wholemeal breadcrumbs
1 egg
This is what you do:
Chop the onion, and core and slice the pepper.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and leave to stand for 2 hours.
Then divide the mix into 6 equal parts, shaping them into "burgers".
Cook inmediately in a preheated grill (broiler).
Once these delicious burgers are ready, you can eat them on their own, or by placing them in a nice wholemeal bread bun (of course, you'll have to take into account the nutritional value of the bun(s) if you are in a low fat plan). Enjoy this low fat lunch recipe.
