Low Fat Dinner Recipe:
Lamb Burger With Feta

Lamb is one of the most popular meats in Australia, and the main ingredient in this low fat dinner recipe.

My kids were not used to eating lamb because my partner is not very keen on it. But one day I cooked this delicious dish, and the kids (not my partner) really enjoyed it.

Now (unfortunately for lambs), my kids look forward to any opportunity to eat lamb in one or another sort of way... and I'm happy to find new, delicious and healthy ways of cooking lamb for them.

Lamb can be very fattening, but you should not this stop you, as butchers also sell the low fat type for a few extra dollars.

I will be including other delicious low fat lamb recipes later on... if you like this one.

Losing weight does not have to be a sacrifice. A good nutritional regime (or "diet") does not have to be restrictive or horrible. You just have to choose the food that's right for you, and you're on your way to having lots of healthy years ahead of you... without eating cardboard-tasting food.

Nutritional Information:

Serves 4

Fat: 11 g

Cal: 238

KJ: 996

WW: 6 Points

Ingredients:

500 g lean ground lamb

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp minced rosemary leaves

A pinch of ground black pepper

6 Tbsp crumbled feta cheese

This is what you do:

Mix the lamb, salt, garlic powder, rosemary and pepper, and shape into 4 burgers.

Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes in a nonstick frying pan sprayed with cannola oil till browned.

Turn over so that both sides of the burgers go golden.

Sprinkle with the cheese and continue cooking till the cheese melts.

Tip: eat with steamed rice, or with Lebanese bread (don't forget to take into account the fat and cals).
