Low Fat Banana Recipe:
Strawberry and Banana Yogurt Pie Filling

This is a great low fat banana recipe for dessert or for coffee time. Yes, I know I should not have coffee, but you can have tea if you want. ;-)

I'll deal with my coffee addiction later on.

The great thing about this low fat banana pie recipe is that you can add other fruits as well without adding the amount of fat in your pie (you still add kilo joules or calories though), and still get a great dessert or baking dish.

The nutritional information has taken into account the kilo joules and fat in the actual pie crust, which you prepare separetely.

Nutritional Information:

Serves 8

Fat: 0 g

Cal: 106

KJ: 445

WW: 1.5 Point

Ingredients:

2 pints of strawberry (nice, sweet and fresh)

3 cups of low fat strawberry yogurt

1 large banana, diced

1 Tbs Splenda (or favorite artificial sweetener)

1 tsp lime juice (or lemon)

1 baked low fat piecrust

This is what you do:

Slice in halves 2/3s of the strawberries, and set aside 1/3 for garnishing.

Blend 1 cup of yogurt, banana and Splenda together till evenly mixed. Pour on a large bowl.

Put the rest of the yogurt into the blender and add half of the sliced strawberries and the lime juice and blend.

Add the yogurt mixture to the banana yogurt mixture and mix well.

Add the other half of sliced straberries into the mix, and pour the mix into the low fat pie crust.

Now, slice the 1/3 strawberries you set aside at the beginning (I hope you didn't eat them!) and place then on top of the pie.

That's it! Your low fat banana recipe is ready!

If you wish, you can chill it in the fridge for an hour or two before serving.
