Lose 15-20 pounds

I currently weigh between 137 and 140 pounds.The weight has manifested in the last year. It is predominantly belly fat and fat on my hips.

I am starting my exercise plans with Wii Active working 30 minutes to one hour each day. I hope to lose the weight by April 1st, 2010.

One long term goal is to run a local 10K run. No way this year, but I plan to run it in 2011.
I want to do this for my long term health and for my son.

Hi Teena,

You really are dedicated to your health and fitness, aren't you?

I have myself used the Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus , but just for fun, not so much for serious exercise.

Anyways, I think this is a great way to have fun and get fit at the same time.

On of my goals is also to run a local 10k run this year, probably in March. Last year I ran 8k and it went real well, so I'm sure I can do the 10k.

As for your training I can only recommend you to start slowly in the beginning. When people are un-trained, they can hurt themselves easily and overdo it without noticing until too late.

But I'm sure, when having trained a few weeks with Wii Active and lost a few pounds, it'll be easy for you to start running 2k, and then going up to 10k until the end of the year.
