Fantastically Fragrant Rice

2 1/2 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cups basmati rice
Dash of saffron
In a medium saucepan combine all ingredients, bring to a boil, stir, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve hot. Enjoy!
